Where is the justice?
Our commenter Had Enough sends the following:
As the memories of WWII, Korea and Viet Nam grow further away with time we lose perspective of the meaning even though we are currently at war.
Both of my grandfathers served in the military, one of them helped free the Jews in the concentration camps, he never spoke of his bravery and accomplishments during the war. I never asked him about it because I figured it must have been too painful. He kept a journal about the concentration camps documenting each camp, the people and included photos and information, I never saw it until after his death. He suffered a injury in WWII and as a disabled veteran he received a very small monthly check. After he died the government reduced that check to $19. a month for my grandmother, she didn't say anything she just stared at it.
Before he died he was concerned about his flag, military awards, medals, ribbons and other items that he collected from his time in the service and instructed my grandmother what to do with them upon his death. His concern was that they be given to someone who would cherish and preserve them.
My father served during Korea but was stationed in Japan. Like my grandfather, he also never discussed the war. The one thing both of these men had in common was their love of family, this country and life. Both joined to serve and protect us, our children and future generations. They saw the best and worst in people and in other countries. I truly believe that they have tears in their eyes watching from heaven witnessing the destruction, lawlessness and corruption, watching everything they fought for being given away for a price. If it wasn't for brave people like them we would most likely be speaking Japanese or German. How sad it is that Japan is a major investor in this country and their cars have all but killed our auto industry. Cheap goods from Communist China are buying China the best weapons, subs and military in the world.
Now decades later due to the greed, negligence and encouragement of our government, not only are we at war in Iraq and Afghanistan, bin Laden is still on the loose, our country is being invaded daily by thousands of people who have no respect for our country, laws, language, culture or anything else. We have to press "1" for English, our children's education is suffering in over-crowded schools that focus the foreign students. Wages are dropping, companies moving abroad, jobs are being outsourced, you can hardly buy anything "Made In The USA," you have to wait hours to see a doctor, homes are being foreclosed at almost record numbers.
We have Illegal foreigners marching in our streets demanding rights, burning our flag while draped in the flags of their homelands.
For decades students who could not afford college or who were not rocket scientists were encouraged to train for the trades. These honorable careers that supported middle class families, bought middle class homes and cars and these trades built the USA and sent many of their children to college are now considered by our government as unskilled labor. Where will the students that are presently going to these trade schools going to get a job when they graduate?
Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers, Heavy Equipment Operators and many other trades have been reduced to the classification of labor for the purpose of cheap foreign labor. What country can they sneak into and make 10 to 20 times the salary they once made? What country can they sneak into and demand rights, their language and free medical? What country can they sneak into and march in the streets demanding that the laws be changed to suit them while burning that country's flag?
It is not just the trades, college students who were majoring in computer science and a number of others are constantly changing their major because they are constantly being told there will be no jobs for them in their chosen professions. A good example is Bill Gates, he visits DC to lobby for employees from India constantly.
We have a government that wants to sell Citizenship for the price of a fine, replace our Citizens in every industry and career, filling our country with cheap foreign goods. They are using a new excuse for not deporting or bringing more people here "We can't break up families."
Where is the justice? We don't have a chance if we are a Citizen of the USA. Our government doesn't seen to mind sending our National Guard (they forgot what National means) to fight wars, they don't mind breaking up their families, sometimes sending the father, mother or both away. Leaving Citizen children crying for their parent or parents doesn't appear to be an issue, neither does the widow, widower or child who no longer has a parent as they cry at their coffin or the family member now missing their arm, leg or both. Our government is only concerned with the family of the invader illegal foreigner, don't break up their family.
Our soldiers are mentally and psychically drained and now their tours will be extended to further the hardships on them and their families. Most of the soldiers were weekend soldiers, most had already served their time, some were retired from the military. No problem when their children and wives weep, just don't upset the Illegals who sneaked over the border knowing there is a chance they will be deported! Where is this administrations compassion for its Citizens? We are protecting borders in many foreign countries, but not our own. Does our government purposely want another 9/11? Do they think another 9/11 would take our minds off Iraq?
I presume it will be the same as when John McCain started screaming and pointed his finger in their faces (familes of 9/11 victims 3-06 objecting to amnesty for illegals), 'After all I've done for you people! I welcome you to come to my state. I'll debate the issue with you. The people of Arizona trust me…I got 77% of the vote last year. Who do you think they'll believe? It's people like you who make my job so hard. Come and debate me. I got 77% of the vote (what a pathetic man he has become).
Our lawmakers don't have a clue (they think it is just about the votes and adding to their wealth)! We want our existing laws enforced. We just Want Our Country Back while there is something left and before we are speaking Chinese.
